Study on GFS Forecasted Rainfall Statistic and Its Feasibility in Real-Time Inter-Basin Water Transfer System Operation Decision Making

This paper focuses on the GFS forecasted rainfall statistics and analyzes its availability in real-time operation.Based on classification and statistic for GFS forecasted rainfall in 2001-2007, we conclude that GFS forecasted rainfall reaches a high accuracy and can be taken into account in real-time reservoir operation decision making.
