Design and implementation of voice terminal coding system based on optical wireless communication

The paper introduces the design and implementation of a voice coding terminal system over wireless optical communication channel. For the low cost and well performance of the system and the use of optical wireless communication system which has wide transmission bandwidth, strong anti-interference ability with stable performance, the system has a wide application prospects. By comparing the current common design mode and taking the system requirements into consideration, we decide to use STC10F08XE microcontroller as the core of the hardware circuit design. Then the paper compares the current language coding algorithm, and uses AMBE algorithm due to its outstanding performance in voice coding. The system uses AMBE-1000 voice coding chip as the voice coding solution. Then the design chooses UART as the wireless optical channel interface between components in the system. The circuit and PCB design is finished in Protel 99SE, and the software design is finished in Keil with C51 language. In the design process, we build the overall structure of the system, and initialize the IO ports, voice chips and the UART. The key design of the system is the data transfer between STC10F08XE and AMBE-1000. At the end, the paper includes testing information of the hardware and software. The result reaches the expected requirement.
