Subcooled liquid pool boiling heat transfer on a vibrating heating surface

The results of an investigation into subcooled ethanol boiling under conditions of low-frequency heater vibration are described. Heat transfer enhancement at low heat fluxes is observed. The analysis of hysteresis phenomena under conditions of heater vibration after an increase in and subsequent removal of the heat load is carried out. Visual observations of the boiling process on the vibrating surface by synchronized illumination reveal essential changes in the internal boiling characteristics
