Abstract After bibliographic survey on the use of slow sand filtration and particularly about the improvements which could be brought to bear on this technique, a description of a rehabilitation project of a slow sand filtration plant is made. This project concerns a water plant at Ivry which meet 15 percent of water needs for the city of Paris.
