Evidence-Based Practice: Creating the environment for practice excellence

Creating practice environments that enable registered nurses to achieve clinical excellence is an important role of nurse leaders. Approximately 12 years ago, leaders in service and education in the capitol area of Connecticut established a means to enhance the application of evidence-based nursing practice (EBP) by registered nurses and nursing students.
