Scattering of electrons and positrons by the Coulomb potential

By introducing wavefunctions consistent with the long-range nature of the Coulomb potential instead of conventional plane waves the authors show that the Lippmann-Schwinger equation for the Coulomb problem exists on the energy shell. The corresponding T matrix gives the well known exact result.
