Selection of Circuit Arrangements for Distribution Network Analysis by the Hardy Cross Method

THE problem of determining the distribution of flow for specific conditions among the various pipes of a water distribution network is a difficult one. Although many methods of analysis have been used, each method has certain limitations. The method of analysis most frequently employed today is the Hardy Cross method. This is a method of controlled trial and error by which systematic corrections are applied to an initial set of assumed flows.
