An investigation into the problem of evaluating combat effectiveness for missile weapon systems

The methodological meaning of effectiveness evaluation (EE) has been explored through dissertating the basic concepts evaluation methods for missile weapon systems,and the soft algorithmic idea for effectiveness evaluation of military systems is proposed.Finally,some basic techniques for soft measurement are proposed from the viewpoint of methodology.Five parts are included:(1)the introduction which highlights the important roles of EE;(2)the basic concepts of EE are introduced;(3)nine methods of EE are discussed;(4)the methodological meaning and soft measurement method of EE are depicted;(5)the application of soft technology (especially assistance decision support systems) to EE for coordinated firing of a group of missiles is studied.The system framework based on the man machine interaction concept is presented.
