한국 철도역사 건축디자인 개선을 위한 해외 지침 사례연구

This is a case study of overseas railway station design guidelines for the improvement of Korean railway design and focused on the US (Amtrak’s Station Program and Planning Guideline, 2013) and UK (Network Rail’s Station Design Principles, 2015) railway design guidelines. This study is aim to compare these two guideline with Korean design guideline and to find the differences and potential values. Both of two guidelines have indicated design principles for the design improvement which is adapted to the current urban architectural importance of railway station and the advanced technologies. As a result, for the improvement of design quality of Korean railway station, the Korean design guidelines need to set up integrated design principles, to re-categorize the building types based on the user-demand and to designate the design process in the design guideline.
