Calculation of Wave Load acting on Tension Leg Platform

In the calculation,the main body of the tension leg platform(TLP)is simplified as an array of stationary truncated vertical circular cylinders.The boundary progressive matching method and the modified plane-wave method are used to investigate the hydro-dynamic interactions due to the wave scattering.The wave loads are obtained under different wave and structural parameters,The results of the calculation are presented in this paper which demonstrate that the hydro-dynamic interactions between TLP columns are rather significant and indicate clearly that these effects have to be considered seriously and carefully by the designers and researchers working on the TLP projects.
