Investigation of Economic Feasibility of Different Rules of Insulation Diagnosis

On the basis of life-cycle cost assessment of periodical diagnosis, a modified calculation method is put forward to evaluate the economic feasibility of the diagnosis rule with an attention value of the measurement parameter above which the apparatus should be diagnosed more frequently. The calculation results show that this diagnosis rule is of more economic merit than the one with a simple diagnosis period. Moreover, the effects of some factors such as initial interest rate, diagnosis expense and the dispersion of measurement parameter distribution are also discussed.
