Based on the analysis of PID algorithm and Generalized Predictive Control(GPC) algorithm,the performance index of GPC algorithm is restructured as PID form.The derivation of PID-type Generalized Predictive Control(PIDGPC) algorithm is given.The influence of PIDGPC controller parameter tuning on system performance is analyzed in time domain with simulations in cascade control system for superheated steam temperature in thermal power plant.Compared with conventional GPC algorithm,PIDGPC algorithm has better control performance,and there are good prospects for engineering application.
