Method and Apparatus for multiplexing data and control information in wireless communication systems based on frequency division multiple access

A method and an apparatus for multiplexing data and control information in a wireless communication system based on a frequency division multiple access are provided to achieve a high resource efficiency and a low PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) in comparison with a conventional time slotting and frequency division multiplex method. In an apparatus for transmitting data in a communication system using a plurality of sub-carriers, a data generation unit generates a signal including data and control information. An FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) unit(310) transforms the signal into one symbol unit with an FFT method by using the M number of sub-carriers. An IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) unit(314) transforms the signal generated from the FFT unit(310) by using the N number of sub-carriers with an IFFT method. A protective period adding unit generates a transmission symbol by adding a protective period to the signal generated from the IFFT unit(314).
