On the counting of tritiated thymidine in tissues.

The potential versatility of the use of tritiated thymidine for in vivo studies th biologic tissues is limited by the difficulty in counting this weak beta emitter even by liquid scirtillation systems. A method of rapid preparation of the tissues and the use of a gel suspension in scintillator is described. This permits ease of handling and efficient counting and yields replicable results. (auth)
