A medicalinformationsystemmust be able to meet the demandfor new reports. This paper presents the advantages and disadvantages of severaltechniqueswhich allow users to writemedically-oriented reports without programming. The developmentof the TMR reportgenerator, ap automatic programmingsystem is described.
