Resonance transitions in Rh VIII, Pd IX, Ag X and Cd XI spectra

Using a 3 m 3600 lines mm−1 grazing incidence spectrograph and a triggered vacuum spark as a source of excitation the Rh VIII, Pd IX, Ag X and Cd XI spectra have been studied in the 140–330 Å region for the first time. About 100 lines of the resonance 4d2–(4d5p+4d4f+4p54d3) transitions in each spectrum were identified with the aid of Hartree–Fock and parametric calculations. Almost all levels in the 4d2 and 4d5p configurations and 23 upper levels of the mixed (4d4f+4p54d3) configurations were located.
