Polycrystalline Thin Film Silicon Solar Cells

Silicon, in its bulk single crystal and polycrystalline form, is the most extensively characterized and best understood semiconductor material. The highly developed and fast moving Si technology continues to form the backbone of the semiconductor industry and the dominance of Si in electronic applications is almost total. In addition, Si finds extensive applications in optoelectronics, integrated optics, and computer technology.
