Breeding and Cultivation Technology of Waxy Maize Variety Xinnuo 301

Hybrid waxy maize variety Xinnuo 301 was bred by N301(female) and N401(male) by Institute of Maize,Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the year of 2002.In the growing trials of 2005-2007,the average yield was 9 694 kg/hm2,increasing by 5.0% compared with CK and increasing by 18.1% compared with Kennian 1.It was accredited in 2008.Xinnuo 301 had high yield performance,generally the yield was 8 000～10 000 kg/hm2 and an average yield 12 000 kg/hm2.Xinnuo 301 had a strong resistance to ear rot,maize dwarf mosaic disease and bacterial wilt.The variety has rich nutrition and could be used dry seed grain procession or fresh procession.It is suitable to be planted in north or central parts of Shanxi province.It is suggested to combine the fine species with high yielding cultivation technology to get high yield for Xinnuo 301.
