Exacerbation of psoriasis with GM‐CSF therapy

Immunosuppression may result in atypical or Norwegian scabies but this was probably not reievant in this patient's case, as his cyclosporin A therapy had been stopped 6 months before the onset of symptoms. As pruritus usually begins about 6 weeks after infection' it is iikely that he acquired the infection after cyclosporin A had been stopped. The striking asymmetry ofthe burrows in this case suggests that reduced sensation may indeed result in heavy scabies infestation, as has previousiy been suggested.
