The use of alternative fuels in power boilers

The basic formal and technical requirements for co-firing of alternative fuels in power boilers have been shown in the manuscript. The applicability of various technological options for energy recovery from these fuels have been characterized. Very often alternative fuels include biodegradable fraction(for example: paper, wood, natural fibres). Part of the electricity produced with the participation of alternative fuels can be classified as coming from renewable energy sources. There is a need for introduction of new legislation that will let to settlement of this energy. The result of this action will be economic incentives for greater use of alternative fuels in the energy sector.
