Simulation of Electrical Rotor Asymmetries in Squirrel Cage Induction Machines with the ExtendedMachines Library

In this paper a physical model of a squirrel cage induction machine with rotor topology model is presented. The parameters of the induction machine are discussed and the issue of rotor fault detection is addressed. For a machine with one broken rotor bar a Modelica simulation model is compared with measurement results.
