In the past few years, traditional fuel energy has being exhausted, therefore renewable energy has emerged. One form of renewable energy and the photovoltaic system is gradually and increasingly being used in lots of houses and industries. Maximum power point tracking(MPPT) techniques are important for improving energy conversion efficiency in photovoltaic systems and a lot of these techniques are well established in the literature. This paper deals with current-controlled P&O(Perturb and Observe) MPPT algorithms and relevant techniques which included boost converters and others for improving conversion efficiency while irradiation is rapidly changed. Processes are performed by simulation tool PSIM. Through simulation, The improved results are obtained.
