Exploring the Use of Machine Learning to Develop a Predictive Model for Future Fire Seasons

The SPoRT Center is a NASAand NOAA-funded project to transition unique observations and research capabilities to the operational community to improve short-term weather forecasts on a regional scale. While the direct beneficiaries of these activities are selected NOAA Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) and National Centers, the research leading to the transitional activities benefits the broader scientific community.
