Analysis of channel rate in single-user massive MIMO systems with IQ imbalances at UE

In this paper, we consider single-cell massive multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) systems with in-phase and quadrature-phase imbalances (IQI) at the user equipment (UE). We investigate the effect of IQI on the channel rate. The upper bound and the lower bound are derived. Results show that both the upper and the lower bound are limited by IQI as the number of the antennas grows large for a single user system. And the channel estimation error has non-zero floor if IQI exists.
