A note on covariant dynamical semigroups

Abstract It is shown that in the standard representation of the generator of a norm continuous dynamical semigroup, which is covariant with respect to a unitary representation of an amenable group, the completely positive part can always be chosen covariant and the Hamiltonian commuting with the representation. The structure of the generator of a translation covariant dynamical semigroup is described.
