Abstract-In this paper, we study the MIMO(multiple inputand multiple output) OFDM(orthogonal frequency divisionmultiplexing) and MIMO CI (carrier interferometry)-OFDMsystem that are based on the SFBC coding. Weevaluate andcompare the performances ofMIMOOFDMand MIMOCI-OFDMsystem. ForCI-OFDMrealization, digital implementedCI-OFDM structure is used in which CI code spreadingoperation and carrier allocation are separately processed by simple IFFTtype operation. From the simulation results, it isshown that MIMO SFBC CI-OFDM reduces PAPR significantly comparedwith MIMOSFBC-OFDMsystem. Theout-ofband re-growth of signal spectrum in MIMOSFBCCI-OFDMsystem is much smaller than MIMOSFBCOFDM.IntheNBI (narrow band interference) channel, MIMOSFBCCI-OFDM system achieves considerable BER improvement, compared with the MIMO SFBC-OFDM system in whicherror floor occurs in mostofSNRrange. So, it can beexpectedthatMIMOSFBCCI-OFDMsystem is veryuseful for the high speed communication system in the nonlinear HPAand NBIchannel.I.
