Clinical Report Disulfiram Treatment Normalizes Body Weight in Obese Mice

prevented in mice the liver and pancreatic islets are the primary sites of action for the metabolic protective effects of disulfiram. The results also show beneficial effects of disulfiram as a treatment to lower body weight in diet-induced obese mice. The main implications of the findings are that disulfiram can potentially be repurposed in patients to treat obesity and related co-morbidities.
