Face Recognition Based On Pulse Coupled Neural Network

Face recognition is a technology that analyzes the image and extracts effective recognition information to distinguish identity by computer. It has high value of research and good application prospect. A novel method for human face recognition has been introduced in this paper. This method is based on a simplified approach for the Pulse Coupled Neural Network (PCNN) Algorithm. And the Euclidean distance between the feature vector of the input image and standard vector is used to judge that the input image belongs to which kind of image groups. Experimental results for human face recognition confirm that proposed method lends itself to higher classification accuracy when is related to existing techniques.
