DIFFERENTIAL CROSS SECTION FOR COLLISIONS BETWEEN ELECTRONS AND ORIENTED CHIRAL MOLECULES

A general theory for collisions with oriented chiral molecules is developed. The general equations hold for elastic, inelastic, and reactive scattering between chiral molecules and electrons or atoms. The theory is illustrated by numerical results for elastic electron collisions with ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$${\mathrm{S}}_{2}$ and CHBrClF and their optical isomers.
