Finite Element Analysis of Variable Reluctance Resolver

The basic configuration and the operation principle of the variable reluctance resolver were described.In this paper,the FEA(Finite Element Analysis)simulation analysis of VR was proposed.The waveforms of the induced voltage and magnetic field distribution ware obtained by simulation.The prototype machine as the analytical model was manufactured and the measurements were carried out.It is shown that sinusoidal two-phase voltages according to the change of the rotor position can be obtained in the output winding.which were very close to the simulations.The simulation result of can be available to design and optimize this new type resolver.
