Remote traffic signal control method

The invention discloses a remote traffic signal control method. The method is implemented based on Internet communication. A time delay prediction and compensation mode is adopted in the method. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) performing communication between a central signal control system and a central communication unit, between the central communication unit and a controlled communication unit and between the controlled communication unit and a junction annunciator by adopting the control/response frequency of 3 times per second; (2) performing time delay prediction of Internet communication by adopting a reflection propagation neural network time delay prediction algorithm; and (3) compensating traffic data by establishing a queue buffer area during time delay processing, establishing data cache areas in the central communication unit and the controlled communication unit at the upper and lower ends, storing latest data all the time when the system performs data communication, and compensating transient data communication interruption by using a latest data packet through the system. The method can reduce control interruption and ensure real-time, stable and effective communication, and is suitable for remote traffic signal control.
