SAW based chirp Fourier transform for OFDM systems

We report on a new SAW based OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) receiver concept for wireless indoor applications. We propose the use of the analog SAW chirp Fourier transform which replaces the digitally implemented FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) of conventional receiver concepts. These analog processors feature real time signal processing and so the amount of costly high speed digital signal processing is significantly reduced.
