An autonomous distributed agent approach to power system restoration

In this paper, we propose a new decentralized multi-agent approach for power system restoration. The proposed method consists of several Substation Agents (SSAGs) and Line Agents (LineAGs). A SSAG corresponds to a substation, while a LineAG is developed as an object to control the multi-terminal transmission line. In order to demonstrate the capability of the performance of the proposed method, many simulations were carried out using a model system that consists of 11 substations and 6 transmission lines. The results show that the proposed multi-agent system is effective and promising.
