Modeling the Skills Obsolescence Process: A Psychological/Economic Integration

Psychological and economic definitions of personal inputs and job requirements are defined. A dynamic model of skills obsolescence is constructed. Factors contributing to job and personal changes are described. Job and organizational influences associated with obsolescence are explored. Implications of obsolescence for personnel/human resource management are identified.
