ONTOLOGY-BASED SYSTEM FOR CLINICAL TRIAL DATA MANAGEMENT

We developed an ontology-based system for the design and integration of clinical trial data management in a convenient and flexible way. A reference ontology serves as basis for both, the generation of clinical trial databases and the integration of data from various data sources into this database. We evaluated the usability of the system using the test case of a specific pilot trial on medical devices.
