Study of Short-Circuit Fault of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

A 350kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) proposed in this paper is used to analysis the short-circuit fault. The finite element analysis software is used to simulate the states of the motor under three different short-circuit faults, and analysis the performance of the motor at the mode of un-control rectification when the fault occurred. The discussed in this paper could provide some guidance for coping strategy and precautionary measure.
