Simulation Study of an Electronically Commutated DC Machine

A computer study of the static and dynamic behavior of a dc machine with a permanent magnet rotor and electronically commutated stator has been performed. Commutation by the back EMF or auxiliary capacitance was considered. Sample results and interpretations are presented.
