Incorporating the Overmodulation Range in Space Vector Pattern Using A Classification Algorithm

Operating voltage pulse width modulated (PWM) inverters in the overmodulationi region extends their voltage and power range and improves their dynamic perfor- mance. This payer is a contribution to the extension of the oper- ating range of the classification algorithm for the implementation of the Space Vector Modulation (SVM) in the pulse dropping re- gion. 'bo different schemes are proposed to continuously in- crease the output voltage up to the maximum attainable value in a controllable manner. Mathematical analysis and experimental results verify the validity of the proposed schemes.
