Intensive Care Medicine Experimental

Intensive Care Medicine Experimental (ICMx) is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the SpringerOpen brand. It is dedicated to basic, translational and experimental reserach relating to all facets of critical illness. A prestigious board of committed Senior Editors and Editors underlines the strong belief in this initiative. The journal encourages high-quality submissions with the aim of being the focal point for publishing experimental reserach in the specialty. ICMx will publish research ranging from laboratory investigations through to patient studies. In the latter case, the emphasis must be on experimental research relating to mechanism, drug effect or pathophysiology, rather than clinical trials. ICMx will in tandem with its sister journal, Intensive Care Medicine, which will focus solely on clinical research.
