준능동제어장치를 이용한 구조물의 진동제어 ( Vibration Control of Structures using the semi-active control device )

The use of active control methods in the seismic resistance design of building structures is discussed. A stable and robust nonlinear control law is proposed. This control method is implemented with a semi-active control device, which consists of a ball screw and nut that convert linear strut motion into the rotational motion of a DC motor to dissipate energy. The semi-active damper requires no external power to operate. This control system out performs an active bracing system employing a linear optimal feedback control law when relatively small control forces are activated. However, its performance approaches that of an active bracing system when large control forces are mobilized.
