Multimodal Biometrics: An Enhanced Authentication Technique

Biometrics refers to identify an individual, based on human’ physiological or behavioral characteristics. Many unimodal biometric systems exist, but often has limitations due to sensitivity to noise, data quality, spoofy attack etc. Multimodal biometric system evaluates some of the problem by providing multiple biometric features of same identity. This system helps to achieve an increased performance that may not be possible by using single biometric indicator.
