Evaluation and Improvement of an Energy Model for Wireless Sensor Networks

In wireless sensor network deployments, sensor nodes are usually energy constrained while circumstance intricate, and how to improve the energy efficiency of wireless sensor networks is always a hot spot in recent researches,of all the works, the modeling and optimization of the energy consumption process are fundamental for energy efficiency analysis. In this paper, firstly,we make a summarization and analysis of the single hop transmission model in peer to peer communication wireless sensor network, two transmission mode and the reliable transmission energy model are discussed, then, based on the reliable transmission energy model,we introduce a new version design of the previous model by concerning the transmission failure probability, and also we promote a new model names as un-reliable transmission energy model,in the end, experimental simulation and evaluation with comparison are made to the new designed energy model. The simulation results show that the new model has very good characters on energy consumption expression during transmission, and the new added un-reliable transmission energy model has a better performance in energy consumption than the reliable one.
