Temperature control of axle bearing for the safety of urban rail vehicle operation is very important. In this study, equipped with a newly developed localization prototype axle bearing (NUP130235C3PC) for urban railway to the field test car, and conducted temperature monitoring of axle bearing. To make a similar condition for the actual city railway station interval, Dae-Bul Line was selected (Illo Station ~ Debul Station) which include a one-way 9km tunnel for a single period. In order to monitor the temperature of the axle bearing, k-type temperature sensor, DAQ equipment, the temperature sensor is mounted the axle bearing housing, the temperature monitoring and data storage program. In this paper, we evaluate the temperature monitoring system for setting the applied field car test conditions and test method, and determine the temperature of the axle bearings mounted on the vehicle by using the temperature data of the temperature sensor from the received collection equipment DAQ.
