CNN. II. Applications and VLSI circuit realizations

For pt.I, see ibid., p.144-5, 1992. Several different classes of cellular neural network (CNN) applications are reviewed, and a very exhaustive list of publications is given. The application potential of CNN relies on the innovative architecture, and as well on a successful high-speed or low-cost hardware implementations. The characterization of the CNN VLSI circuit realization is based on a fully tested high-speed analog chip.<<ETX>>
