Elastic optical path networking: Enhancing network capacity and disaster survivability toward 1 Tbps era

We introduce elasticity and adaptation into the optical domain to yield significant spectral savings, resulting in increased network capacity and enhanced survivability for serious disasters in the 400 Gbps and 1 Tbps era.
