Parallax barrier display systems

The available techniques for autostereoscopic display which are suitable for television applications are probably limited to lenticular and parallax barriers and variations thereof. Of these the lenticular method is currently favoured by many. The author examines the virtues of the oft overlooked parallax barrier.
