Modeling and Sliding Mode Control of the Average Current Mode Parallel-Connected Buck Converters

According to the basic principles of the DC/DC converter in the continuous conduction mode,a parallel-connected Buck converters' simulation model is established based on the state space method.The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis and show the effectiveness of the modeling method.Based on the model,a controller for current distribution in parallel-connected DC-DC converters is presented.It uses a sliding-mode method to achieve both output current equalization and output voltage regulation.The simulation results show that the controller improves the dynamic performance of parallel Buck converter,the output voltage is robust against load disturbances and the output currents are very well equalized.
