Recent Advances in Optimization of High-Speed Machining and its Future Trend

Optimization of cutting conditions is a critical requirement for high-speed machining.Because the cutting speed is dramatically increased in high-speed machining,it is more difficult to optimize cutting parameters for high-speed machining than for conventional machining.This paper reviews the recent advances in the optimization of machining parameters for high-speed machining.The main problems include modeling and algorithm for the parameter optimization.Some comments on future development trend and directions are also pointed out.
