This book is replete with examples of typical family scenarios and dilemmas that can present challenges for parents. Included with these scenarios are an interpretation of critical issues, along with suggested alternative strategies. With the increasing complexities that society places on the family unit, the Adlerian approach in establishing democratic methods in parenting continues to be enormously sensible. Parent selfeducation can help, by enabling caregivers to cope more effectively with the challenges they encounter. Reaching those with greatest need for parent education continues to be the challenge for the counselling profession into the next century. This easy to read book may be a start.
