Synthesis of Variable Structure Systems in Frequency Domain

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to improve the steady-state and dynamic control accuracies breaking through the performance limit subject to linear systems, and to award a high robustness to the control system. For this purpose, the variable structure controller is designed in the frequency domain by the new method which guarantees both quick-ness and robustness properties. The new method has several features not available in any of existing methods. A realistic example shows its effectiveness.
